This guide explains how to manage user access to the WEpayments Dashboard, including user roles (Moderator, View, Write), creating users, assigning permissions, and understanding role descriptions.
The Access Control menu is only visible to users with Moderator permissions.
| Requirement | Details |
|---|
| Who can see the menu | Users with Moderator permission |
| Who should have Moderator | Legal representatives or persons authorized by legal power of attorney |
| Why | For security reasons, this permission should be restricted |
User roles and permissions
WEpayments uses three main roles to control access:
| Role | What it allows |
|---|
| Moderator | Full access – can create new users, edit access, manage permissions |
| Write | Edit permission – can create payments and charges, edit some information |
| View | Read-only permission – can only view information (cannot create or edit) |
💡 The permissions available depend on the type of product you have purchased.
Important note about Moderator role
| Rule | Explanation |

| Cannot change own roles | A user with Moderator role cannot change their own permissions |
| Requires another Moderator | To change a Moderator’s roles, another Moderator user must do it |
