The PIX is the instant payment system of the Central Bank of Brazil, established in 2020. It enables electronic transfers of any amount between individuals, companies, and the government, similar to other payment methods that preceded it (TED and DOC). Its main difference from other payment methods is that PIX allows for instant transfers at any time of the day and on any day of the week (whether weekdays, weekends, or holidays).
WEpayments uses PIX for both the Payout and Payin solutions. In our Payin solution, it is presented through a dynamic QR code that can be scanned by the consumer's mobile phone camera at the time of online checkout or through the option of a "copy and paste" link.
It is important to note that WEpayments' Payin Pix does not offer the option of payment via PIX key or transfer to bank account details. If your end user makes a PIX payment using WEpayments' PIX key or by transferring directly to our bank account, the amount will be refunded to the originating account.
