In this menu you can change your password and enable two-factor authentication, which is necessary to guarantee the security of your access.
How do I enable Two-Factor Authentication?
First, you'll need to download the Google Authenticator app from your smartphone's app store. The app is available for Android and iOS.
Then, in our dashboard, go to Settings > Security and Login > Two-factor authentication > click on Set up new device.
Follow the instructions on the next screen and enter the 6-digit code generated on your smartphone.
Click on register and you're done!
Important: keep the app installed on your cell phone, because whenever you need to log in to the dashboard, you will need to enter the 6-digit code after your password. The 6-digit code is not fixed, it changes every few months. If you lose access to the Google Authenticator app, you will need to request a reset from our support team.
Why do I need to activate Google Authenticator on my WEpayments account?
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your WEpayments account. This prevents unknown access to your account.
You also need to have two-factor authentication enabled to be able to send payments or create charges in our panel. Without authentication enabled, you will only be able to view information on our dashboard, even if you have editing or moderator access.
Can I use the SMS or WhatsApp option to activate two-factor authentication?
No. At the moment only Google Authenticator is available on our dashboard for two-factor authentication.
How do I request a reset of two-factor authentication if I lose my access?
If you lose access to the Google Authenticator application for any reason, you will need to request a reset in order to re-enroll in two-factor authentication.
To request a reset, you can contact our support team directly via our service channels and our team will guide you through the procedure.
